Storm Chasing Tours

As your tour guide I provide all of the equipment and knowledge to go storm chasing, while you operate your own vehicle. There are two primary reasons I operate the tours in this fashion. First, you’re completely in control of the experience. You can bring who you want along, and all I do is provide the guidance to the severe weather you want to see. Also, if I were the driver and owner of the vehicle, I would be a for-hire driver of a commercial interstate operation. This would make the tours subject to a host of additional state and federal regulations, which would in turn make my guide services subject to substantially more taxes and fees. This way as a guest in your vehicle, I can provide nearly the same private experience at a substantially lower cost to you.

What do I provide:

• Experience to get you as safely as possible to the storm and back
• Laptop containing maps of the entire US & weather software
• Satellite weather data receiver for the laptop (WxWorx)
• Cellular data for the laptop
• Two GPS units (one for laptop, another for general directions)
• Scanner (to listen to NWR stations and spotter nets)
• and More!

What do you provide:

• Vehicle
• You (i.e. the driver)
• Your food, hotel room, fuel, & tolls
• Guide's hotel room, or share a room to save
